Welcome

Welcome to the first edition of SentineX News. This newsletter provides our SentineX clients with updates on SentineX product developments and upcoming events. This includes information on software releases, new products, additional capabilities and enhancements, and training information.

We hope you enjoy the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the latest SentineX developments.

New Functionality

Version 2.0 of the SentineX software platform is due for release shortly. This version offers increased capabilities including:

  • Integration of multiple monitoring modules into a single SentineX unit - For example, you can now have multiple noise monitors in the field, connected to one central SentineX unit. The central unit will support communication for all connected monitors - saving on the expense of installing multiple full SentineX units in the field.
  • Live audio streaming via the web from SentineX continuous noise monitoring systems - You can now can listen remotely to the noise environment around your operation as it happens.
  • A significant increase in report configuration options for each SentineX unit - For example, users may wish to select which parameters are included on their daily monitoring charts.

Version 1.0 software will continue to be supported in its current state on all existing installations.

New Odour Monitoring System

SentineX is now available for odour monitoring. Novecom has worked in partnership with E-Nose to develop a real-time odour monitoring instrument. The device is customised to suit the odour monitoring requirements of each individual site, and can effectively manage complex odour mixtures.

SVANTEK - New Model

The new SVANTEK 959 noise meter has replaced the 945A. Future SentineX Noise systems will utilise the new 959 meter, but we will continue to support all existing 945A meters.

TEOM Dust Meter Update

The TEOM 1400 series of dust meters has recently been enhanced with the release of the 1405 series instrument. The new series provides an improved user interface via an onboard touch screen, whilst maintaining all the functionality of the 1400 series.

The 1405 series provides a range of measurement options including dichotomous sampling for concurrent measurement of PM10, PM2.5, and PM(coarse) particles.

SentineX Training for Customers

Training is available for all SentineX customers. Please contact Jeremy Pola if you require further information - phone 02 4961 6544 or email jeremy.pola@novecom.com.au.

Market Survey

The recent SentineX market survey conducted by Marianne Cummings on behalf of Novecom provided an excellent insight into what you (the customer) liked and disliked about the SentineX product and system support. Thanks to all who participated!

A couple of improvements that have already been implemented are:

  • Streaming audio from SentineX Noise units

Minerals Council Conference

Novecom recently exhibited at the NSW Minerals Council Environment and Community Conference at York Fairmont, Leura, showcasing the SentineX technology.
