Streaming Audio Now Available with SentineX

Novecom has introduced streaming audio as a new feature of its Sentinex Noise platform. Streaming audio allows you to listen to audio in real time from any web enabled desktop, laptop or PDA.

Have you ever responded to a noise complaint in the early hours of the morning only to arrive at the complainants place and have them say you are too late - the noise stopped 10 minutes ago? Streaming audio can improve your response time and provide you with remote ears to hear the noise as it is occurring.

Streaming audio allows instant access to the noise environment, providing you with a proactive noise management tool. Whether it is a mine, industrial, entertainment or security application, streaming audio can assist in rapidly characterising noises and identifying sources.

The streaming audio function is in addition to the standard continuous MP3 recording, which means if you missed the noise event in real time or would like to review the audio at a later date, the file can be downloaded and replayed.

Streaming audio is available as an option on all SentineX V2 noise systems. Existing SentineX V1 installations can be upgraded to enable streaming audio. If you require any further information please contact Jeremy Pola on 02 4961 6544.

Collaborative Monitoring Networks

Novecom, on behalf of its customers, currently operates around 35 continuous environmental monitoring stations in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Mudgee regions. In a number of instances, the density of monitoring stations results in duplication of equipment between customers.

Monitoring equipment can be expensive and where there are numerous entities contributing to an air or noise shed, it is sometimes difficult for a single entity to justify the expenditure to establish a representative monitoring network. Novecom is able to design, install and operate individual or collaborative monitoring networks.

Novecom can take the often difficult task of applying capital expenditure and the ongoing depreciation of the asset out of your hands by providing options to lease or subscribe to a monitoring information service. Through a flat monthly fee, you can have access to real-time monitoring data, automated daily reports and be assured that the monitoring network is being maintained.

Cost effective solutions to your monitoring needs may be achieved through collaboration with neighbouring facilities, regional industry groups or regulatory authorities. If you require any further information please contact Jeremy Pola on 02 4961 6544.

SentineX Portable Released

Novecom has recently released a mobile version of its popular SentineX noise system. As the name suggests, the SentineX Portable is designed for easy setup and relocation. The mobile system retains all the same functions of the original SentineX noise system, with the added advantage of a compact transportable configuration. The use of solar power has been retained to make the system truly mobile and independent.

SentineX mobile is ideal for short term acoustic investigations or background noise assessments, as well as long term monitoring projects. The compact configuration means one person can safely set the system up. Just erect the mounting tripod, attached equipment housing, connect the solar power supply and the system is ready to start monitoring.

The SentineX portable noise system is available for hire or purchase. Contact Jeremy Pola for details on 02 4961 6544 or jeremy.pola@novecom.com.au.
