Good project management is essential to the financial success of many businesses. Advitech, an engineering and environmental consultancy, engaged Novecom to develop a highly customised job management system (JMS) to suit their specific business needs.

Built on the Lotus Notes platform, Advitech's JMS allows the company to manage the nature of work it undertakes - to ensure technical and commercial risks are understood and managed. The JMS supports projects from initial enquiry through to project delivery,

with functionality such as prospect, proposal and job registration; assessment of risks; approval workflow; and document management. It also provides a process for managing scope change within projects.

A client job confirmation process assists Advitech to communicate clearly and effectively with clients throughout their project.It will be further developed to provide a link to project financial information so staff can accurately manage project budgets using information available at their fingertips.

Dust Unit Prototype

Novecom has integrated a low cost dust monitoring solution into its suite of SentineX applications. The portable dust system is tripod mounted and solar powered to enable easy deployment.

Portability allows for infill monitoring needs to be accommodated where traditional fixed dust monitors (such as TEOM’s or BAM’s) cannot provide coverage, or where you require temporary monitoring of your operations to assist with evaluating dust management practices.
