Expanding the boundaries

Most mining, manufacturing and industrial operations undertake a range of continuous environmental monitoring programs to ensure effective management of their operations and maintain compliance with development consent and licence conditions.  The volume of data and the disparity of data acquisition systems can sometimes leave you feeling frustrated.

Novecom have recently undertaken a project which has taken a variety of disparate environmental monitoring applications and integrated them on to a single platform, providing a single user interface (the SentineX Repository), through which users can access all their continuous environmental monitoring data.

Whitehaven Coal is the leading coal producer in the Gunnedah basin. Novecom commenced working with Whitehaven by assisting their Werris Creek mine with the installation of a portable noise monitoring unit to investigate noise impacts.

Following the successful trial, Whitehaven invested in three mobile noise monitoring trailers for use across their operations. To add further value, one of their central meteorological stations was integrated into the SentineX platform to assist with the analysis of temperature inversions.

We look forward to assisting Whitehaven Coal with the ongoing environmental management of their operations and helping them to achieve their commitment of developing sustainable coal reserves

Did you know heading

By integrating your current weather station with a SentineX unit, users can access real time weather through the SentineX repository.  Weather parameters can then be customised to suit your specific needs, sending you an alarm when the conditions change.
